Medical Safety

This programme provides nutrition and lifestyle education. It is designed to support your medical care, not replace it.

Fatty liver can range from a relatively early accumulation of fat in the liver to conditions involving inflammation or fibrosis. Because symptoms alone cannot tell us how healthy the liver is, appropriate medical monitoring remains important.

Continue taking prescribed medication unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Speak with your GP or hospital team if you have concerns about your liver results, medication, alcohol use or whether you require further investigation.

Seek prompt medical advice if you develop symptoms such as jaundice, very dark urine, unusually pale stools, persistent vomiting, significant abdominal swelling, severe or persistent abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, marked confusion or a sudden deterioration in your health.
