About Course

Looking-After-Your-Liver

Welcome to the Programme

Being told that you have a fatty liver, raised liver enzymes or concerns about liver health can leave you with more questions than answers. You may have been told to “eat better”, “lose weight” or “cut down on alcohol” without being shown what that actually looks like in everyday life.

This programme is designed to help you turn that information into a practical plan.

Over the coming weeks, you will learn more about how your liver works, how food and blood sugar affect liver health, the role of the gut and gallbladder, and how everyday habits such as movement, sleep and alcohol intake can influence your long-term health.

You do not need to change everything at once.

The aim is to understand your starting point, identify the areas that matter most for you and build small, realistic habits that you can maintain.

How to Use the Programme
You will get the most from the course by working through the lessons in order and giving yourself time to practise each week's actions before moving on.Learn – understand one important area of liver health.Check Yourself – notice what is happening in your own diet, symptoms and lifestyle.Make One Change – choose one achievable improvement.Use Your Tool – complete the tracker, checklist, recipe or worksheet provided.Take Action – practise your change during the week. You are not expected to be perfect. Your goal is to become more aware of the choices that support you and gradually make those choices easier.A useful question throughout the programme is:“What is one thing I can do this week that will make the next week easier?”

Your Starting Point
Before trying to “fix” anything, we want to understand where you are now. This gives you something meaningful to compare with later.Think about your current:Energy – Are you energetic throughout the day or regularly tired?Sleep – Are you sleeping well and waking refreshed?Digestion – Do you experience bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux or discomfort?Hunger and cravings – Do you become very hungry between meals or crave sugary foods?Drinks – How much water, alcohol, fizzy drinks, juice, tea and coffee do you drink?Meals – Are your meals regular? Do they contain protein and vegetables?Movement – How active are you during an average week?Stress – Has stress been affecting your food choices, sleep or energy? There is no right or wrong score.
