Grazing means eating small amounts of food repeatedly throughout the day, often without much structure or hunger. This can look harmless because the portions are small, but over time it can lead to too many calories, poor food choices, blood sugar swings, and a lack of proper nourishment. It can also stop you from feeling fully satisfied after meals, which keeps the cycle going. It’s harder to get in the required protein, folate, B12 and iodine without a structured meal plan.
Grazing often feels like:
- “just a few bites”
- “I’m only picking”
- “I’m not eating that much really”
But these little bites can add up quickly — especially when the foods are soft, easy to eat, and not very filling.
