Your mission, should you choose to accept it

Lesson 10: Reintroducing foods

Part of the elimination diet is to reintroduce the foods after time, maybe a week or more.  Your diary is a tool to use to guide and increase awareness about how your body works as a unique individual.

t

Why you need to do it:

You will be confident on whether the foods removed should be kept out of the diet for good of if they can be reintroduced and monitored. Know the symptoms gives a clearer picture of the advantages of removing a problem food or drink.

I

What you need to do:

Add some of the food that was removed (do not do this with gluten if you are coeliac or have known serious food allergies or anaphylactic reactivities).  Watch for aches in the joints, rashes, skin irritations, tingling sensations and digestive disturbances like wind or constipation or diarrhoea. Stop eating the food if there are adverse effects and see if the symptoms stop.
